Are You New Here?

Hi! My name is Allison. Welcome to Alpharetta Methodist! We are so glad that you are planning a visit to Alpharetta Methodist, and we would love to welcome you and answer any questions you have. I started working here in February of 2021 and was immediately impressed by the thoughtfulness and integrity of the leadership along with the warmth and kindness of the congregation. I know that you will experience these things as well.

We have opportunities for all ages to experience and share the love of Christ. Take a minute to explore our Sunday groups and serve opportunities by clicking the links to the right. You can also watch previous services to get a feel for our worship and learn from our pastors.

We can’t wait to get to know you! If you would like to connect, fill out the Planning My Visit Form below, and I will be in touch!

What kind of church are you?

Alpharetta Methodist is a diverse community of believers who are a part of the historical Methodist movement. We strive to lived out our faith in concrete ways, sharing the love of God by caring for one another and serving in our community and around the world. We value relevant, passionate preaching, inspiring worship, and small groups where people can grow in faith.

Where are you located?

Alpharetta Methodist Church is located at 69 North Main Street (Georgia Highway 9), about a block from City Hall in the historical Alpharetta downtown district. We’re at the corner of Main and Cumming Streets, with our front door facing our Cumming Street parking lot. See our location on Google Maps.

From Atlanta
Take Georgia 400 north to exit 9 (Haynes Bridge Road). Turn left onto Haynes Bridge Road. This road turns into Cricket Lane and ends at Cumming Street, where you’ll turn left. On Cumming Street, look for our campus on the left.

From Cumming and towns north of Alpharetta
Take Georgia 400 south to exit 11 (Windward Parkway). Turn right onto Windward Parkway. Turn left onto Westside Parkway and then right at the first stoplight onto Cumming Street. Our campus will be on your left just before Cumming Street dead ends at Main Street (Highway 9).

What are the service times and what should I expect?

You should expect to be warmly welcomed by our greeters and ushers who are ready to help you find your way. We have four in-person worship services. Each features a biblically-based, relevant message and inspiring music. Worship services last about 50 minutes.

Contemporary worship services meet in Vinebranch Chapel. Traditional services are held in the Sanctuary. See a map of our two worship spaces here.

  • Contemporary worship: 9 a.m. (also livestreamed)
  • Traditional worship: 9 a.m.
  • Contemporary worship: 11 am.
  • Traditional worship: 11 a.m. (also livestreamed)

Where do I park?

Our main parking lot is located on Cumming Street and includes specially-designated parking spots for visitors and for those with special needs. Please let our parking attendants know that you’re visiting or need handicap parking.

Additional parking is available at the Student Center, located at 59 North Main Street, just south of the main church building.

See a campus map here.

When should I arrive?

Sunday morning worship services begin at 9 and 11 a.m.

You should plan to arrive at the church about 15 minutes ahead of the worship service you wish to attend, to allow ample time for parking, entering the building and finding a seat.

You may wish to arrive a few minutes earlier to check your children in.

Where do I enter the building?

Our main entrance is under the drive-through portico facing Cumming Street. Greeters are stationed near the entrance to welcome you and, once you enter, to help you find your way.

See a campus map here. (Our main front door is #1 on the map.)

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably when you come to worship. Some of our attendees wear their “Sunday best,” but most come in more comfortable clothes. Don’t worry about what you wear – you’ll be welcomed no matter how fancy or casual you are. Just come to worship God!

What should I bring?

Each of our worship services is Bible-based. You may also wish to bring your own Bible. Or download our app for one-click access to the day’s Scripture reading, to take notes and to follow along with the order of worship.

What's available for my children?

Children’s Worship is offered for preschool through 3rd grade at 9 and 11 a.m., so your kids can attend an age-appropriate worship experience while you’re worshiping in the Sanctuary.

Sunday School is offered for preschool through 5th grade from 10 to 11 a.m.

Sign in your children at the Children’s Check-In desk on the first floor, just inside our main entry.

Learn about Children’s Ministry activities.

Since the safety of children is important to us, everyone working with children is required to go through our Child/Youth Protection Training, which includes training sessions and a background check by a professional agency.

What about my teenager?

Alpharetta Methodist Students (AMS) is all about introducing students to life-changing relationships with Jesus and others. Your teenager is encouraged to attend worship with you in the Sanctuary.

Sunday morning student programming takes place in the Student Center, located adjacent to the main church building on Main Street. See a map here.
