No matter what struggles you’ve overcome or what dreams you’ve achieved, your willingness to share what God has done in your life is an act of praise, and your story could make a huge impact on someone else’s faith journey!

Video Recording Instructions


1. Video Length – Aim for a length of 2 minutes. It’s okay to be little over or under, but try to stay close to that length.

2. How to Record

Camera Setup
  • Use your phone and hold it landscape (sideways) — not vertical
  • Either selfie or rear-facing camera will work
  • Keep the camera at eye level
  • Keep your face centered with a little space above your head
  • Stay still while recording (no walking or moving around)
Lighting
  • Face a window or a soft light source
  • Avoid bright light behind you
  • Avoid dark rooms or harsh shadows
  • Natural, even lighting is best
Audio
  • Record in a quiet room
  • Turn on Do Not Disturb or silence notifications
  • Avoid fans, HVAC noise, or echoey rooms
  • Hold the phone about arm’s length away or place it on a stand/tripod
Background
  • Choose a calm, simple background such as:
    • a wall
    • an office
    • a bookshelf
    • a plant
  • Avoid cluttered or distracting spaces and high-traffic areas.
Delivery
  • Be relaxed and conversational
  • Look toward the camera lens

  • Speak slowly, clearly, and naturally


3. How to Answer the Questions
  • You’ll be responding to two main questions (listed below).
  • Please answer them in a storytelling, conversational way.
  • Feel free to naturally include the subset questions as part of your story.
  • We would prefer that you do not answer each question with short or separate responses.
  • Instead, share your experience as one connected narrative for each main question.

  • Think of it like sharing your testimony rather than giving an interview.

As you share, you may naturally include:
  • Did God use someone else to help invite you?
  • How was the church or faith community involved?
  • Was it easy to respond, or did you resist at first?

What’s one experience or example within our church that has helped you grow in grace?
As part of your story, you may include:
  • How did this experience help you continue responding to God’s invitation?
  • How were other people involved?

  • How is growing in grace motivating your next steps in response to God’s love?
